About the Presenter

Textiles have defined my world since the age of 8. From high school to work, clothing to costume design, to dyeing and construction, my happy place has always been my sewing room.

I practiced these skills as a student as well as working at Living History Farms, freelance costuming, competitive costuming, and dance wear.

Although my degree was in economics and my career was in government regulations and intellectual property, I continued my passion by continuing to take classes at the Art Center, and study with a number of teachers in fiber arts over the years.

I am a member of SAQA Studio Art Quilt Associates, Des Moines Area Quilt Guild, Iowa Art Quilters, and Central Iowa Textile Arts.

My work has been exhibited locally and in a number of regional and traveling exhibitions, as well as many homes and offices.
