QuaranTimes: Teen Memoir Writing Workshop

1:00 PM - 2:00 PM

Event Details

Join us next week on Aug 5 at 1 PM!

For tweens and teens ages 12 - 17.

What has your life been like since COVID-19 hit?

This two-session program will seek to gain perspective in uncertain times through writing. We will explore different short forms of memoir to develop writing skills, reduce stress, and reflect on your experiences in a meaningful way.  Each hour-long session will include thought-provoking prompts on how life has changed, where it might go, and capture a snapshot of this moment in time to look back on in the future.

There will be an opportunity to workshop (share) your pieces with other participants for their feedback,  and publish your finished memoir(s) on the library's website!  Sharing is optional but encouraged; inspiration can come from anywhere!

No previous writing experience necessary; writers of all skill levels are welcome. Join us for one or all sessions!

Please register for each session individually. Each session  will be presented via Zoom. Be sure to include an email address to receive the link for the meeting. We will email participants a link before the event. Please only register once per household!
