Event Details

Did you know that Braille started out as a military code called “night writing?”

Join us to learn a true tale that is over 100 years old, taught by Denise Bean, Youth Services Librarian at the Iowa Library for the Blind and Print Disabled. To fully participate in this program and “crack the code”, please stop by the library to pick up a Braille alphabet card at the youth desk or outside the book drop (starting in April).

Target age: 5-18, families welcome

This program will be presented via Zoom. Be sure to include an email address when you register. We will email participants a link before the event. Please only register once per household.
